Athletic Programs

At West Texas Barbell (WTB) we follow the principals and training methods of Westside Barbell and have adopted them towards sports and athletes a like.

THE WESTSIDE SYSTEM IS THE MOST ADVANCE STRENGTH TRAINING SYSTEM IN THE WORLD!

Strength coaches, athletes and trainers from around the world and literally every sport have gained great success using the Westside system. Not to mention the numerous National Champions, World Champions and World record holders it has produced in Powerlifting.

Athletes will learn: Box Squatting, weight lifting technique, Constrast Methods, The Maximal Effort Method, Percent Training, Organiztion of Training, The Delay Transmutation Phase, Work Capacity, S.P.P., Concentric/Eccentric Training, Special Strength Training, General/Direct/Specific Exercises for Sports, Methods of Increasing Training Loads/Volume, Density Training and much, much more.

With our conditioning programs we use many methods and techniques as well. We incorporate; hill runs, field sprints, med-balls, road work, jump roping, sand sprints, intervals, agility drills, sled pulls, sprint/agility drills, jump training and timed lifts.

Our programs can and WILL yield tremendous results if followed with tremendous effort, consistency and commitment.
